Schools

When preparing to move, if you have school-aged children or are planning to start a family in the near future, one of the biggest considerations to take into account is the quality of schools in the town. Information that will help you feel comfortable about where you're sending you children to school can be found amongst these sources below.

 Noodle

Noodle is an excellent source when looking for information to help guide you in selecting the best school, preschool or tutoring option for your child/children. Users can search by subject, type of institution, specific school or location. When conducting a board location search results will include: preschools, schools, tutoring, internships, summer camps, classes and more. School profiles including information about enrollment, student diversity and other percentages. Users can ask education experts and noodle members questions about that specific school. There is also a link to the data source so users can see where and when the information came from. Click here to visit site.
 School & District Profiles

The School & District Profiles site is run by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. From the home page, there are two ways to search for information about schools. The first is the drop-down "Directories" tab, this option is good if you know the name and type (public, private, etc.) of school. The second search option is the geographic search. Franklin is part of Norfolk County, and selecting Norfolk from the county map will bring you to a map of cities and towns. From there you can select Franklin and find a list of all schools and programs in the town. The individual school profiles feature contact information as well as diversity, accountability and achievement statistics and more. Click here to visit site.
