Part of Franklin's Recreation Department, the Fields & Playgrounds page lists all the towns facilities. Some of the fields & playgrounds link to individual profiles that include a description and pictures but for all those that don't there is PDF file titled "recreation sites in franklin." This file lists all the public and private recreation sites in Franklin and includes their name, address and description. AllTrails
AllTrails provides a map format to locating trails near Franklin; however, to access detailed trail information you must set up a free account. An AllTrails account provides access to individual trail profiles that feature brief descriptions and reviews. When users scroll over a trail pinpoint on the map, they are shown the trail name, the difficulty level and the trail path is highlighted in red on the map. Zooming in and out affects the number of results shown. This site lets you save, print of even download trail maps onto your phone, the last of which is a convenient and eco-friendly feature. Features trails include hiking, biking, equestrian, rail trails, off-highway vehicle trails, and more.
